So how do I tell what allison transmission is in buses? I know how to find an id plate on the passenger side to identify an AT545, MT643, and an MD3060, but I can't seem to find a data plate on the side of the newer ones. How do you distinguish a 2000 series from a 2500 PTS?

basicly the 2000 2500 pts are the same the new tags only have the serial numbers on them and the tid level of electronics either have to call dealer to find what was spec'ed in bus or call your allison distrubor with the serial# and they can tell you exactly what trans you have i have to do this for alot of school bus districts in my area where i get on the allison extranet all the time
