Anyone have the torque specs for the housing to main case bolts? Can't seem to find them anywhere.

Had to change the torque converter housing due to a crack/ leak. Bus has about 200k on it and has been on country roads but well taken care of (two of my best drivers used it for over 10 years). Why would this happen? https://photos.app.goo.gl/fhNyXp9s5k6ehTvd2

I've seen this housing crack in GM pickups (1000 series, same housings different gear ratios), and once in the 5500 medium duty unit (2000 series). That was severe oilsands mining use tho. I've often wondered how these lived in these buses, just hanging on, with no mounts or crossmembers. I have 5, each sees some rough gravel roads, never a problem.

Nope, wasn't bad at all. Thanks for the encouragement. I was surprised it was cracked so bad though. I think I've got $285 in it. Pretty tickled with that!

I forgot I started another thread about this leak. For those interested in the future, here's link to the other thread. http://www.schoolbusfleet.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=40179
