Yes we bought a Texa last winter from mac. Our issues was that the oem software we are running [all none subscription] was to out dated for some of the units coming through the door holes getting into 2013 units. . We do buses but as well motorhomes , hd, md and light. Once I started looking into the subscriptions and costs for updating the texa looked pretty good. I figured we would try it for a couple years and see how it works. So pluses first if you decide not to update after the first year you own it and it can be used after. It seems to handle most computers on most systems. We have done some setups for new turbos on the cummins 6.7 and injector installs with out any problems with the unit. So for what were doing right know it seems to work. What it does not do, it does not have any kind of data base like Allison or cummins software where you get code , and quickly switch to diag with wiring. So you have to have access to repair info data base [we have Mitchell]. Like any other aftermarket software it does have holes, basic codes, clearing, resets seems to handle. I would say its not as smooth as the oem software. eg. would be wabco brakes, had bus a while back pulled codes, had say 5 codes in system, it did not show the number count per failures. We hooked up wabco software and of course the one wheel sensor had like 25 failures and the rest were 1 or 2. We could of cleared codes, test drove seen what came back but seeing the counts helps. So yes it works, is it oem no but were going to try it and see. If oem is in the budget I would say stick with it. Here is a good link with lots of videos on the system or if you ytube texa scanner lots of demo videos.

We have a TEXA unit and we like it. We had a laptop just up and fail on us, and their customer service was very good. They took care of it no questions asked. With ours, they included a program for checking what the DTCs actually mean and give you good information to further investigate.

Hello Aaron who did you purchase from? When you had a problem was it texa themselves that helped or the seller? Are unit has been working good so far, but its mechanical so it will break at some point.
