Hey guys,

We had a bad snowstorm here on the weekend. When I left the bus parked friday afternoon the entrance door was locked, and the bus was secure. Tonight (Sunday) I went over to the bus yard, and the door was "Unlocked" and swinging open in the wind. I had a snow bank on my steps, on the driver's seat, and dashboard!

What is with this new design for the door lock? Two weeks ago the bus unlocked itself as well. It's almost like the little door lock actuator controlling the lock (above the door) releases itself.

The doors themselves are finally adjusted properly, but just won't stay locked. We hard a hard time at first getting these doors adjusted (As mentioned in a previous posting of mine)

We can't really "modify" the door because we would void the warranty.

My door system is the air type with the big "S" shaped bell crank.

Anybody having this issue? I'm really afraid someone is going to get into the bus some night and tear it up. Our buses are sitting in a school parking lot with no gates.

Any help would be appreciated!

Yep! I have thought about that...lol!

No other drivers that park there with me would even bother. They would be the only ones with a key, other than myself. On nights where the door opens it always seems to be miserable out. So I don't think anyone would bother being outside playing with a bus door in bad weather.

Our back doors are locked at night. Ignition interlock.
