2001 International T444E, automatic AT545 I assume, but don't know for sure. In neutral, parking brake set...shift into gear. Bus engine lurches (almost sounds like dieseling noise of an old gas engine) RPM's drop down. If you relase the brake the bus will move without accelerating. Once you stop and apply the parking brake, shift out of gear the engine will race then idle down to normal. Acts the same in reverse. If you actually accelerate there is jerking in the transmission. I'm not the mechanic...just wondering what the issues could be. I should note this bus also has DOC and CCF systems installed.

Sounds like the torque converter it not working right... Not stalling when in gear at idle
