I have a 05 Thomas/FS65 with a MBE906 sitting at 96k showing a fault code (ECU 128, PID 105 Fail 03, which tells me "Intake Manifold Temp circuit failed high". What should I be looking for? Last week the driver brought the bus in after her route and said the bus was overheating and the temp gauge was going past 225!!! but with the noise of the kids helping to cover the sound of the buzzer she continued on. We found the leak and ended up replacing the coolant surge tank. After a quick road test we noticed we're now setting off the warning light and buzzer and CEL when accelerating from a stop and it will keep buzzing until the bus comes to a stop then the lights go out. I'm not too familiar with this engine, we have only two in the fleet, and this is the first engine issue we've had. Much better that our CAT C7's

If it is an '04 title, I am working under the assumption tht this engine does not have EGR.
- Is the bus equipped with an air intake heater?
- If so, is the solenoid stuck in the ON position?

If the bus is equipped with EGR ther may be a couple other possible gremlins.
- Stuck EGR flapper running exhaust back through at a high rate
- Lack of coolant in the EGR cooler (air bubble)
- EGR Gas/coolant interchange from failed cooler. (blackened coolant & essence of glycol exhuast smell.)
- Stuck thermostat in EGR cooler circuit.

I may not know the answer but I can usually find who does.
