I have heard on School Bus Central about a "AmTran Vista". They are AmTran bodies on International 3600 Chassis (windshield looks like that of a Ward/AmTran Volunteer) Do they really exist? If anyone has a picture of one, I would like a picture of the FRONT and the BACK of the bus. Thank You!

No such thing as an Amtran Vista, tho most of the major bus manufacturers built some contraption on a P-type chassis at one time or another.

Ward made the Patriot in the late 80s to about 1991. It was built on the same Chevrolet chassis as the Vista.

Spicer is nicer.

That Ward almost looks better than a Thomas Vista, almost! I wonder how many drivers and mechanics took some nasty bumps on the head due to the hood opening.

That thing looks like it was a maintenance nightmare.

Notice how people provided info to his request and he hasn't acknowledged any of us? Probably too busy emailing SBF about that other thread :)

The "Vista" was made by Thomas and could be fitted on anyone's chassis. It was designed for a type "B" chassis for more manueverability than a conventional with the same capacity, yet less expensive than a transit unit. We used them from 1993-1998 and still have a few in service as school based activity buses, none on routes.
Hope this helps.

Just letting you know it's not polite to keep yelling someone's name every time you post it. It's obvious your caps aren't stuck on.

And Tatum - yeah, I didn't have time to persue this one like the previous one. Give me time though and it'll happen if I get annoyed enough.
