Happened on Monday, first day back after holiday vacation. About fifteen kids injured, one seriously. Driver was coming to a stop and hit rear of a car, slid off road into ditch and landed on side. Hope it's ok to post this here-- thought you guys might like to see it. Big news for this area.

It's unfortunate that there were injuries (or that this happened to begind with)...however things could have been a lot worse.

On the plus side...you now have one less Vista to deal with.

Ohh, I just remember one of my drivers was talking about this accident, I did not realize that it was in Hampton. I am located in Fairfax, and It was circulating among our drivers mid-week, IC even has a post about it under General Interest!

Wow, that wreck is bad. Last wreck I saw was the bus fire where a car rear ended a bus.

Oh please don't say that about lawsuits. That poor driver is in for a rough time if the people in your area are lawsuit happy.

Too bad about the Vista, looks like one I drove 3 years ago. Considering how it ended up it could look a lot worse.

I like how well the bus held up. The windows other than one or two look to be in good shape. Really reinforces the no seatbelt issue.

Just imagine that entire bus upside down with kids stuck in seatbelts. The attorneys would really have fun with that one.

Looks as though the roof was repainted at some time. Minue the Thomas logo

Quick update-- on Jan 11 or thereabouts, 17 year old driver of car that caused this accident was charged with reckless driving. Bus driver not charged.

You people may not like Vista's but at least the bus did its job and protected the students.

although it is sad that that bus wrecked, i hate vistas, they are (no offence to vista lovers) CRAP! that is one less vista to be ugly
