The right-hand-drove TC-2000 is a neat one. Love the seating arrangement and the cool looking seats. |

Ehh, my favorite would have to be the UK TC/2000... back when Blue Bird actually offered black powder-coated window frames.
The EF looks awful, and I personally don't even consider that Wayne to be a bus. |

Hmmmmmmmmm. Well let me give the run down of the buses, the Wayne is a truck trailer with windows and seats ( my own opinion), the Blue Bird is ass backwards ( again my opinion and YES I know that is how they are supposed to be in England but I am too used to how it is here in the USA), and the Thomas is about the nicest one there. Sure it may be ugly, but it looks like on hell of a workhorse bus! Greg Hovan |

Speaking of workhorses, I really hope this bus is in the process of being restored. The upper part looks like it's in GREAT shape and the lower panels look primed and ready to paint. It'd be great to see such a RARE bus like that to be in new condition again!!! |

I think that the Thomas is one of the UGLIEST buses I have ever seen. The Wayne isn't a bus. It's a truck with a bus body style trailer attached to the back.
I really like the Blue Bird, though. I especially like the seat colors.

ha ha ha I agree, the Thomas is fairly ugly, I couldnt imagine trying to drive a right hand drive bus, everything would be backwards. |

To me the '78 Thomas looks like it has bus braces for the grille. The English TC/2000 looks nice, but in the picture, you saw all the kids on one side. That Wayne "bus/truck/semi" looks pretty neat. I think I would've liked to ride on that at least once. I wonder what people thought as it was going down the freeway on it's way to it's destination? |

I don't like the older Thomas EF's very much. That grille is way too big and ugly. I like George's comment about the braces. The Wayne long bus is interesting but like someone else said its basically a tractor/trailer with windows and seats. The UK Blue Bird TC/2000 looks pretty cool. I guess the Brits like the NY blackout paint scheme for some reason. Are those cloth seats? Imagine getting ink marks out of those. As for the Thomas ER that Mike linked, I think that bus has the potential to be real nice! Just restore it a bit and you'd have a true classic. |

Just an FYI, I believe that bus shown was a demonstrator for press and photo ops and such. I was fortunate to be sent some in-service pics of a bus from the UK.
http://buses.thesummit.biz/JardineHalifaxUKRE.htm
As you can see (and read) the bus has the typical black and yellow paint job. The front warning lights are just painted circles, though, for effect. The rear ones I believe are wired as brake lights and turn signals.
This is the second bus he showed me:
http://buses.thesummit.biz/JardineUKFE.htm
This was at a promotional event for First Student I believe. This is probably very similar, if not the same, as the bus in the SBX photos. I guess that the warning lights were somehow set to flash randomly as only one pilot light is lit on the control panel an the lights are not flashing in sequence. |

Looking at those pictures was strange. We all expect the bus to be US style, but get a surprise when we see it reversed. I'm going to have to ask my second cousin in England to send me some pictures!! |
