Hi Guys, I have a 2006 international school bus stop sign coming out by driver open with the switch, and keep going more than 90 degree, it's not coming back when driver close with the switch, worst thing is the motor running by itself every one minute when we even shut off the bus. Changed new relay for the motor, it doesnot help, still doing the same. Please help! Thanks!

If this stop arm has a solid state module, chances are the module needs to be replaced.

Thank you for reply, Troy87, but how can I check if the stop arm has module or not, it has just 5 wires came from bus chassis and connect with relay, then two wires go to motor, one power wire, one ground wire and one trigger wire. Thanks!

CHECK THE ALIGNMENT VANE ON THE CLUTCH. IF IT IS OUT OF ALIGNMENT THE STOP SIGN WILL DO ITS OWN THING. THESE CAN BE PICKY

Safety in all things, always!

Also if arm or mount has been bumped or has taken a blow it can prevent the discs from aligning and turning crossing arm off. Similar to the above post.
