Original post by member Sharijones under the safety/driver concerns section:

Hello!
We have purchased a few new Thomas c2’s with wheelchair accesss. As a driver I have noticed a constant problem that is found on all 3 of these I have driven.
The back end of the bus seems to float, as if it is trying to pass the front end! It is very hard to keep on the road! Another issue is very hard to make turns! It takes a lot of muscle to get the bus into a turn...it also seems like you are constantly fighting the steering wheel. One that I started driving last month is battering my hands and wrists so bad that is making my hands ache and swell.
I have reported it, yet no response yet! Could there be a manufacturer problem? All of these buses have less than 3k miles. I am refusing to drive them, it’s that bad. Anyone have the same issue? Anyone have an idea as to what might be the problem?

Thanks for any insight!

both air bags are inflating (we had some where only one side would air up)?
are the bags straight up and down (not twisted or sitting on an angle)?- or broken center bolt
measure from center of front hub to center of the rear axle is it the same distance?broken center bolt frt. or rear spring pack?
check the camber of the frt. tires

This does not appear to be following a good path. Have the concerns been submitted in writing to supervision and/or those responsible for vehicle safety? Has the driver or driver's supervisor requested that a qualified mechanic go for a ride-along? What are the written responses to these concerns?

what tires and how many 32nd's? My trucks wander a bit in the back for the first 5,000 or so miles if I put all new tires on the back (if the tires have over 21 32nds)
a new bus would have all new tires on the back.
