I can't be the only one fighting this, can I?
I started replacing hundreds of neglected seat foams in 2011 and 2012 using Blue Bird OE foam by Lichter. By the end of the first year in service, nearly all of them were blowing out at the stop edge where there are glued together seams.
I switched to Triad last Summer which is $11 per piece higher, but don't have nearly the same number of glued seams. Two days before inspection I found a bus that had gotten overlooked with 10 bad foams, so I made a quick trip for more Lichter foam (Triad was sold out). In less than a year and less than 4000 miles, those foams were trash...same top edge failure.
I got some under warranty for that last bunch, 2 started to exhibit signs of failure in just two days!!!!!
Enough is enough! Seller acts like I am the only one having this problem...but I know for fact my neighbor school is having it too.
Are we alone? |
