A driver called and reported his FE300 was leaking coolant this afternoon. He said it was a stream spraying from somewhere on top of the engine. Then it quit and he finished the route. It appears to me it was leaking from where the tube that runs from the back of the engine connects to the EGR cooler. The tube and the elbow fitting don't seem to be aligned as they should and you can see a portion of an O ring sticking out. Is there an improved connection or fitting for this location? I believe our 2005 & 2006 DTs have a bit differant setup at this location.
i think this is what you are looking for. kind of fits your discription. here is a short hand version

DESCRIPTION
New Exhaust Gas Recirculation (EGR) Coolant Return Kits are available for truck and bus applications. Installation of an EGR Coolant Return Kit prevents coolant leaks from the return circuit of the EGR cooler. The selection and application of a kit is based on the length of the EGR cooler and the installation of the EGR cooler return elbow in the EGR coolant return port.
