On Thomas buses with tinted windows, why are the back windows and Emergency Exit Door not tinted? I have seen this on late-model FS-65s an d C2s.

We avoid ordering the rear windows tinted. It helps when backing in the dark and makes turning around (only on a select few of routes) easier.

Not sure but most likely it is the way the supervisor spec'd the bus

That makes sense, the bus I rode before I graduated had two turn-arounds in the route. Also, I've only noticed this on Thomas buses, never on Blue Bird or IC.

Most of the time, you don't see the rear tints because the dealer forgets to spec it. It is not included with the side window tint package, so many dealers don't add it by mistake.

Our 2007 AAFE's have no back tint, while our 06's do.
