We have a 2005 IC Bus DT-466 RE that has a problem with the exhaust pipe. It keeps popping off even though we tighten the bolts. The DPF has been cleaned. The pipe is popping off before it enters the DPF so I thought that was the problem but apparently it isn't. Any ideas or advice. Thank you in advance.

The problem is happening after the muffler and before the DPF.

Is it breaking the bolts? What is it popping off of?

The clamp seems to be fine tightens right up. It is popping off right after the muffler. No bolts are being broken either.

Is it a v clamp, or a band clamp? Either one could be bad or just not tight enough.

It is a band clamp. Will try a new one and see what happens. I was thinking something was wrong with the dpf but had it cleaned so...

I found the bolts really need an impact to get them tight enough.

a 2005 RE does not have a DPF. It should come out of the Turbo and go into the Catalyst - muffler assy. ad yes band clamps need to be hammered on with a impact gun.
