Drivers have dress codes. Does your shop have any dress code requirements for your mechanics.

Mechanics have statewide uniforms. The are light blue in color with dark blue pin stripes. They have their name on them and the bus shop name. Pretty nice. Blue pants to go with them.

We provide uniforms, but they aren't mandatory. Must wear a shirt with sleeves, hard leather shoes or boots and keep them reasonably clean. We, too, provide the uniforms with a cleaning service and most take advantage of it.

Part of having the proper uniform is to have your shirt tucked in. We do this to look more professional. This will also prevent shirts from catching in machinery.

I used to work for a contractor that had light gray pants with cream colored shirts with light blue pin stripes! In that kind of enviroment yikes! oil and grease showed up a mile away! But now the S.D. I'm in provides dark blue s.s. shirts and blue jean pants and Its provided.

God created only a few great mechanics....The rest repair cars.
