Thought I'd post this here for those that have these. I have had three of my newer propanes not go into the "start in progress" mode. I have found out it's because the ignition switch has an issue when it gets below about 15F out. Replaced the switch and no more problems. Until you get a switch you can try holding the switch in the start position and giving it a little wiggle. This has worked for me but sometimes it takes several tries. In fact, a driver this morning tried that and it took 12 times!

I've had issues with ignition switches on our diesel Blue Birds too. They'll either stick keeping the starter engaged or stick just enough where the accessories won't come on. Thankfully i have decent drivers that caught it quickly before it tore up the starter or flywheel.

And at 30 bucks a pop you can't gripe about it.

We have the same problem with the Bluebird propane buses, we have found (like you said) if you hold them over on start they will start, so far our do it on the first try most every time. Glad to know it is the switch I will order a couple of them now

+1 for the ignition switches. They are garbage. My two wonderful, glorious 2013 build T3's have been replaced...one of them twice already.

I was told the design has changed. Seems that the old ones were designed to switch power and BB is using them to switch the ground.
