What types of process do other fleets implement in order to have a tire life monitoring system and procedure or plan? Basically- Our current system does not have anything built in that would allow to easily enter in when a tire is replaced and what the mileage is, and then monitor when that tire had to be replaced again in order to get an accurate specific mileage life span for each tire- broken down by steering tires (front) which are new, and then the separate report or tracking system for the recap tires on the rear. Has anyone ever tried to come up with a tire life monitoring system that would also calculate the amount of miles every tire gets before getting replaced, and be able to separate those into categories for reasons for tire replacement to end up with a chart, number, average that can highlight and easily show: tires replaced due to operator fault (with mileage per tire) tires replaced due to improper inflation (with mileage per tire) tires replaced due to time the casing has been used/or number of times it has been recapped (with mileage per tire) normal tire wear (with mileage per tire) abnormal wear/unknown cause/defective tire (with mileage per tire)
