I have a International 2005 466 engine, bus is idling when shifted into gear bus shuts off. No codes reported.

It would seem that maybe you don't have the power to have a load on that engine. I would check fuel pressure, injection pressure and go from there. I'm not super familiar with this era of 466, but it would seem like a decent starting point. Good luck and let us know what you find.

Possible a locked up torque converter or transmission issue?

Is the engine dying because of a load or is it shutting off due to an issue such as a safety interlock? I realize that you are not setting a code
