We have a 2012 CE300 with a DT466, here is whats going on; We have a diesel fired heater on this bus called a Pro-Heat. With the bus engine off and proheat on the coolant temp will get up to 155, turn the proheat off, turn the engine on, the coolant temp will drop to 115 and stay there. The coolant temp will also stay around 115 even after an hour long bus run, so no good amount of heat in the cab for the driver or riders. These temps were all found by hooking up the computer, the dash temp gauge also stopped working. I am thinking a fan clutch stuck on, or thermostat stuck open, any other ideas? |

I had a fan clutch go out on my 2010 Maxxforce DT as well. Hold on though, they aren't cheap. |

I've had a few t-stats stick open lately. It's usually part of the o-ring that breaks loose and gets stuck in there holding it open. |

If the fan clutch is stuck it will sound like a jet place taking off, I`m thinking t-stat fell apart. |

Well I got the new thermostat installed and that solved the overcooling problem, still having issues with the gauge not working though. |
