We have a '97 BlueBird that I pulled in to change the oil on. It's been almost a year since it's last change, but it only went 600 miles and the oil is still really clean (looks new even.) Would it be a waste to change it or should I go ahead and do it due to the time?

(Also, it takes 30 qts. so I didn't want to replace it if it didn't need it.)

I would change it just because of the time. It's cheap insurance!

Thanks for the response!I'll change it, i just hate to throw out oil that clean. But I guess if it needs changed it can't be considered "good" oil.

You can always sample the oil looking for contamination and in the case of this oil I would suggest checking total acid number, as that will tell best reusability.
