Well, I forgot I had this problem last year and it didn't get fixed. When the wipers are running, and the wind is just right, the driver's wiper goes too far to the left and off the page (lol windshield). It makes both sides stop and the only way to get it to work again is to get out and physically move it back. I can recreate this at the shop by pulling over to the driver's side and it will stop. This system is similar to the old style but only has one motor instead of two. I've not had trouble with these motors so never had one completely apart. Anyone have a clue as to what it's doing?

I don't know how those work on that year, but it sounds like something in the linkage is loose or worn.

Do the wipers park in a different spot then the others? Maybe a little higher?

I don't think so. I'll check though.

When you pull it over, the thing to check where do you get the extra movement? If it is just the one wiper that goes out of position would suspect the mounting of that arm.
Sometimes the wiper arm can seem tight on it mount. Pull off the wiper arm and see if the small groves in the cone are full of metal. If so, use a small pick and clean each grove, turn wipers on, then off to make sure it is in park position. Reinstall the arm and tighten.
If both go out of position, check where the short arm off the motor?

The mount is tight on driver's wiper. The other wiper doesn't go out of position but does stop.
