OK, I always tell people that I run antiques here but I'm beginning to believe it myself now. Went to get a knob for the hazard lights from Chevy the other day and they no longer offer the knob. lol Says no worries, all you need to do is purchase the whole switch (because you know if the knob is bad the whole switch is worn out, lol) That switch is $100. ARGH! Anyone have any ideas for me? Napa is a no, can't seem to get it to come up on an internet search. |

Don't feel bad, I still run 4 Chevy B7's. Best buses we have ever owned and I intend to keep them on the road as long as I can. |

I agree, they are the best bus that was ever made (I am actually a Ford fan) but it is getting hard to keep them on the road. I am finding more and more parts that are discontinued all the time. I guess I need to start posting the information here as I figure out things that are discontinued for them and what I found as a remedy. I wonder if there is another switch I can put in place of this one? Say one from a parts store or something. |

I agree they can be hard to keep on the road, but I still think its harder keeping my newer ones on the road! I've been lucky that there hasn't been too many parts I haven't been able to find with a little work. I'm lucky we have a Chevy dealer near us that has one of the largest inventories of parts in the country and he has tons of NOS parts. He has been buying out the parts depts. of other dealers when they close for years. If you want to give them a try its Friesen Chevrolet in Sutton, NE 402-773-5538. |

I've seen them in the NAPA book before...I'll check again, it could be long gone...but I remember it being in a weird place.
Call the Thomas dealer for your area...the 1978-1990 pushers used the same switch.

This is an old post but I thought I'd post the GM number for the entire switch here because when you do a google search for "hazard light switch for b7 chevrolet" this is the third result. lol GM# 15696094 Good luck |

Well, dang, I just ordered one and paid 80 bucks! This is the first switch I've ever had trouble with. Of course we don't have many railroad tracks in our district and this bus travels outside the district and uses the hazard switch at least 4 times a day. lol |

I'm just glad this thread got revived. I saw those for sale several weeks ago and was going to post here about it, but just plain forgot. |

The guy posting those on Ebay must be the reason for the shortage. I think it said he had over 400 of them on hand! lol |
