I have a 2007 Thomas bus with Mercedes inline 6 engine and Allison transmission. The bus will not shift out of first gear when the transmission temp teaching 190 degrees. Normally runs at about 150. What could cause my overheat?
Check to see if trans is going into converter lock-up, if the trans stays in converter mode heat will build. Lock-up normally occurs in 2nd thru 4th or 5th. Check for ABS codes as the trans will not go into lock-up if ABS is active. What is the engine temp going up to.
