I'm looking at a used bus, 2001 International BB with a T444E and an AT545. The ad says that the trans does not always want to up-shift normally and the check trans light is on. Any Allison experts know what might cause this?

The at545 is a mechanical trans so I doubt it would get a check trans light unless it had a filter minder or something. Id venture to say it has an electronic trans and the causes for a light from that are in the hundreds. Most common would be wiring or bad soleniods.

I tend to agree but am wondering what year they started putting the 2000 series in a bus. I know my oldest ones are 2002s.

The Allison 2000 became available as an option in late 1999

Why yes, the ORIGinal CHARGER is a Fastback
