Good morning , 2005 6.0 ford engine , where does the back of the alt. get its 12 volt battery source from , only have 7.6 volts at red power wire , Thanks .
The cable runs down across the valley(Past the glow plug controller) then back to the right rear of the engine to the starter post. Its got lots of heat sheilding around it. Sometimes the tie downs break and it can rub through against the doghouse . Yes Ive seen it.
Yes thank you , problem was at starter , wire had almost came apart , making a bad connection at starter connection , once repaired had 12 volts at back of alt. , much appreciated .
