Many times when you step on the brakes it pulses like the ABS brakes are kicking in but the vehicle is on dry pavement. No ABS light on, any ideas?

Front wheel speed sensors. What happens is the hub starts to build up rust under the sensor mounting surface pushing it away from the tone ring. Common problem, I believe there's a TSB on it. Could try removing and cleaning the rust off, but odds are the sensor will probably break during the process. Hope this helps.
