As you might remember from the last post that mechanic who licked and sticked inspection stickers on busses he was supposed to repair was fined sent to jail and charged with 44 citations. The school district was removed thier privlage to inspect thier own busses (semi annual inspection) now they have to be taken to an outside inspection agent. then taken to the state police to be inspected.
The 7 busses will be back in service Monday April 9th after being repaired at the International Garage which they will be inspected by them Given a sticker and then by the Pa state police.
Just as drivers are held responsible for their actions on a school bus while driving, mechanics must be accountable as well for their actions (or lack of actions as in this case). Repairs/Defects must be taken seriously. Drivers must have faith in their shop staff, and know that they'll do the right thing! Joe
