1999 Thomas Saftey Liner with Cummins ISB230, Allison MT640 Transmission, and air brakes.
Has started witout issues all winter. Went out yesterday started as usual parked the bus. Went out to restart the bus would not start.Starter would not turn over. Checked to make sure it was in neutral it was in neutral,checked battery,snuged cables down rechecked still would not start. Tapped on the starter, checked starter connections. Went back into the bus released the parking brake and the bus started. The bus will not start with the parking brake set. If I release the parking brake it will start. Any ideas on what would be causeing this.

Does it have a air-assist fast idle switch?

Problem solved ignition switch is close to the parking brake knob.The ignition plug was loose and when you push the parking brake knob it would move the plug just enough to make conection and start.Pushed the plug on good and tight and problem solved.
