444E quit on one of my drivers this morning, I thought the alt took the big one but I don't think so. Batteries all good 12.5V all of them, Load tested. Problem is no crank, I cant even hear the relay click but again it was so darn windy this morning. He said its been starting ok no problems, He said the volt meter charging. Heres the kicker, I cannot get any blink codes out. ECM connections ok fuses ok, breakers check out connections on the battery check out. I'm thinking broken/wore through something from batt box to the starter? Anyone else have that? Why no codes? not even 111. Oil light to start the sequence doesn't even light. Gotta be something stupid. I'm going to pull it in tomorrow after the roads clear up and the damn wind goes down.
Thanks!
Called the dealer service, He thinks a broken wire between what I mentioned anyone have the same problem? Which wire?

Check the wiring between batteries and relays on firewall, especially connectors near the oil filter/bellhousing area. Those infamous wiring connectors can be eliminated and replaced with heat shrink butt connectors as they were just there for assembly line purposes.

Why yes, the ORIGinal CHARGER is a Fastback

Make sure all the starter cables and wires are tight, had that happen before. Also make sure starter cables are clean.

Well looks like that's it, Cleaned it off under there and found one of those double connecters all greened up. and a broke wire. Had to go to another job. Tear into it soon here but looks like I've found the culprit and it was by the trans spin on and engine oil filt.

Thanks!

I had the same problem, it was a wiring harness rubbing on frame coming from around the neutral safety switch and up top of tranny.

For any others who may have the same problem or you if you still havent found a problem: There is a crank inhibit relay on this bus/engine. If it somehow gets voltage to one of the pins the ECM thinks the engine is running and will not let the engine crank. I had one that the WIF (water in fuel) wire was bleeding voltage into the wire, they are on the same circut. Disconected that wire and the engine started cranking normal. ISIS has very good trouble shooting manuals if you do not have the hard copy. Also if the interlock relay messes up it can disable the starting.

I have two buses down two differant engines ones a v8 the others a straight 6 but the same year 2002 blue bird inter.

the six would just stall then so one guy put a jumper from the key to the starter everything went haywire then the radio quite and there was no exceleration the bus start but wont move. Then we tried to check the pedal that was fine but we kept starting bus.

Then suddenly the bus wont stop tring to start we had to disconnect the battery so we took the wire off the starter and replaced the starter relay now we have no starting and the parking lights stay on with out key and dash senser are on like the high beams turn singals and wait to start and so on.

The v8 is almost the same but when the battery is connected the computer goes crazy we changed out the starter relay and the same thing so now we have to bus that wont start.

Some please weve asked almost everyone we know Thanks
