Been a loonnngg time since I've been on here. Anyway I've got a 02 vintage 466E with a I'm not sure why it does this problem. Its a spare and does sit at times for long periods and last fall when temps were not that bad I did notice after it sat all weekend Monday am's took a little longer than usual to start up then run fine all week. Then over the last cold snap we had would not go, plugged in and nope not going to go, oil pressure would come up enough on the gauge to I think make it go not sure of the lbs but looked enough. SO I left it sit until it warmed into the 50's just yesterday and sure enough after she built pressure after a few seconds it fired and runs now. One thing is that the HPOP does need the kit put in, It its leaking underneath at the usual port. Would this be the culprit? a leak down? I'm going to put the kit in its just when I can get it in the shop. Or is it a scored oil pump? When shes running oil pressure is at 65 and about 50 at an idle. I would think heated up oil would not create that much pressure if it was scored. What do ya's think? |
