Engine light came on, checked codes, the following codes popped up:

1. 1136 - EFP out of range low
2. 2335 - ICP unable to build during engine cranking
3. 2372 - fuel pressure below normal

ICP sensor was replaced on Oct 2012 for hard to start complaint (code 2335). Driver said it's still hard to start at times. Now all these codes popped up today with engine light on. Any ideas? Could the ICP sensor be bad already after being replaced in Oct 2012? Lift pump possibly?

Fuel pressure regulator or check ball/valve come to my foggy mind, I don't have any MaxxForce DTs but have messed with a couple EGR DTs.

Why yes, the ORIGinal CHARGER is a Fastback

I haven't messed much with these MaxxForce DT's either, but looking at the manual on ISSIS, looks like the fuel pressure regulator is built into the fuel filter housing. I'll have to order the coupler to connect to the test port on the fuel filter to see the actual fuel pressure, according to the parameters, the ICP desired is on the money.

Go onto ISIS and print off the hard start no start check list for the 07 engine. This will take you through a step by step diagnostic process. If you can't find it, email me at schoolbuspm@q.com and I will send it to you. Sounds like you are in ISIS.
Diagnose the first code, first, before moving to any other codes. There are multiple possibilities to this problem but it should be tested following the steps in ISIS. Could be as simple as a bad low pressure pump. The 07 has a mechanical pump and the 10 has an electric pump. There are two test ports for the fuel system. One is a schrader valve at the front of the intake manifold the other is a compucheck valve on the filter housing itself. Both are valuable in the test process.
The second code relates to ICP. This is the oil pressure required to fire the injectors. You will need to check first for oil supply, measure pressure, oil leaks on the fuel rail or an electrical issue, possibly a bad ICP sensor or harness. Go through the tests by following the test steps in ISIS. It is possible that you have multiple problems such as oil leak and low fuel pressure.
Please reply back as to the problem if you find it so the readers can learn along with you.

Also, if it really is a 2007 emissions engine with a MaxxForce DT with a DPF, watch for diluted crankcase oil. We have this happen from time to time. Overfull oil is a giveaway. We have also had IPR's and High Pressure pumps.

Joe, we have had to revove the DPF and inspect but the major thing is remove the DOC and blow it out both ways thoruoghly. Its whats called face-plugging of the DOC, you will see a lot of excessive soot come out of it. Then since the oil is diluted so bad we change the oil and filter.

Hey Joe, I've replaced quite a few of the low pressure fuel pumps due to low pressure problems. when we get the check fuel filter message it always ended up being a bad or weak pump. they can leak fuel around the plunger on the pump too getting fuel in the crankcase. the ic # is 1876108C92. On the ICP check the wiring connector at the sensor. We had one giving us fits randomly not starting or hard to start due to that connctor being bad. Good luck

I'm kinda leaning towards that or the fuel pressure regulator, I don't have the proper hook up to connect to the test port on the fuel filter to check fuel pressure (on order). Thanks. I'll keep y'all posted.

It's fixed! I replaced the fuel pressure regulator and the sleeves on the 2 fuel lines on the low pressure pump (lines were loose meaning sleeves were wore out). I beleive the fuel pressure regulator fixed the low EFP code and the sleeves on the fuel lines fixed the hard to start and ICP code, bus starts right up and engine light stayed off. Thanks for all help.
