School Bus Fleet

Eighteen children were killed in school bus loading or unloading accidents in the 2008-09 school year, according to the Kansas State Department of Education’s national survey. It’s a large increase from the previous year’s total, five fatalities.

Of the 18 children killed in 2008-09, 11 were struck by their own bus (seven at the back, four at the front). The other seven were killed by a passing vehicle. ...

Makes me sick to think about it.

One death is to many.

We all need to pay close attention to our kids and what is happening in and around our bus.

If you don't see them then don't move. Teach your kids to watch you for signals it is safe to cross and not just cross because your lights are on.

Look after those kids as if each one where your own.

This is sad. I think strict laws is needed to implemented
