1990 Acura Integra RS hatchback. 4cyl, 5sp, everything stock except the tail lights I put in. It's a good little car, my first
from when I got my license. It's treated me well, but is getting up there in mileage, about to turn over to 200K. I'm saving for
a down payment on a used Jeep Wrangler

What I have now.

I have to brag a little here. I just returned from a trip in my 2005 Chevrolet C1500 2wd with the V6 and five speed manual. Driving 70 mph with a canoe strapped on top, it turned in 21 mpg. Yesss! (a la Napolean Dynamite)

and...

The '99 Saturn SL1, even with an automatic, can deliver 40 mpg on the highway. Yesss!
Funny, the new Ions are advertised enthusiastically with the headline "32 mpg highway!" New but not improved... hmmmm... that's never happened before.

Spicer is nicer.

We have 7 cars but only 2 of them are in working condition for now. (Yeah I know typical yard out in the rural areas of Tennessee). We have a 2004 Pontiac Montana, 1995 GMC Safari, 1993 Dodge Dakota (which needs a fuel pump), 1993 Chrysler LeBaron (needs a transaxle), 1988 Chrysler LeBaron (needs a motor), a 1984 Ford Ranger (needs a motor), and I almost forgot my 1973 Volkswagen Baja Bug (needs a lot of work done on it).

We use the Montana and the Safari for everyday vehicles as you can tell.

Ooooh, thats nice! The G35X is pretty rare. Just so you know, the G35 really only shares the engine and possibly the transmission with the Altima. The Altima as well as the Maxima and the Murano SUV all share a platform that is primarliy designed for front wheel drive applications. The Murano is the only one of that group with available All Wheel Drive but with a front wheel bias.
Other than what I mentioned, the G35 an entirely different car built off of Nissan's FM(Front Midship) platform which is rear wheel drive or all wheel drive with a rear wheel bias. The FM platform is used for your car, the larger Infinti M35/M45, the Infiniti FX35/45 SUV and the Nissan 350Z.
So in a nutshell your car is a lot nicer than a tricked out Altima

Hehe... well thanks :) I didn't know how many people were car nuts here, so I figured everyone would know an Altima over an FX. You're absolutely right, it shares its platform with the FX and uses the 4th generation VQ engine which is GREAT. But glad to see you keep up with your Nissan/Infiniti news :)

It's a sad day for Norfolk, Virginia, folks. The F-150 plant there is going to be shuttered a year earlier than previously announced.

Henry Ford himself opened that plant in 1925. They used to ship new Model T's by barge out of there.

I owned a '78 F-100 4X4 built there from '82 to '93.....a GREAT truck! It had the 4.9 six banger mated to a C-6 (a VERY rare "fleet" truck) tranny. I bought my POS (Canadian) '93 F-150 because of that truck.....BIG mistake.

As most of you know, my '93 is so bad I will NEVER, EVER buy another Ford product, but I still hate to hear that almost 700 Virginians are out of a good paying job.

Hope they all "land on their feet"...

PS: Ford announced today that it has suspended it's next quarter dividend payment.....I'm sure glad I dumped those shares. A portion of Toyota's profits will be deposited in my bank account instead!
