hey guys i starter a new thread i posted about def codes on 2017 c2 i am looking for the def filter it looks as tho its in the mudule i looked on quick serve and it doesnt show a filter is what i am looking at on the module the filter ? or does it not have one if it does do u no the part number

it is , look for a plastic cap I think it's a 24mm socket facing downwards , I've pulled many and found nothing in them, unless the cap is loose or cracked then air would make it get crusty

nothing meaning no filter or just the filter was clean

ok i took the cap off but whats the trick to getting the filter out without destroying everything its stuck in there

I just pull it out down seals on an o-ring
part number 2888182

look under aftertreatment in parts
right side of diagram
call out on part is 8

OEM trained in wiring and all engine platforms for over 20 years

supposedly, these things are good for 300,000 miles.
not sure how that relates to city vs highway use, just been told 300,000 miles.

i replaced the def filter and did ecm update its been on road for two days and so far the driver said no problems so will see

so far so good bus been on road for three days it does a long route and driver says no issues as of yet
