Where is everyone getting seat covers and foam from. I've got a bus that I need to rebuild several seats in and the last batch of covers that I got from bird are not holding up. How well do the new ones with velcro work, or are you better oft just staple them like the originals? Thanks! |

I only use velcro (getting lazy). I usually buy from TAC. They and the dealer both sell Besi covers and the dealer now sells Triad foam, so I do need to compare prices next time.
I will say that the new blue bird (made by Besi) "pinhole" covers are junk, hold one up to the light and you can see right through the material it's so thin. The older style material is almost as bad. Haven't gotten a Besi cover for another make that is that thin YET.
We are a fireblock state, so all this is based on that material. |

Ditto here. And most of the ones we order are velcro. You can put a velcro back cover on in short time, over the original if need be, and if it gets cut you easily take it off and use the Vinylweld goo to make a nice repair to it while it lays flat on a work bench. |
Why yes, the ORIGinal CHARGER is a Fastback |

Velcro is the only way to go might cost a bit more but the time savings I think pays for it and then some. |

Does United make their own covers? I'm not familiar with them. |

We buy from TAC. They have the best price in our area. I buy the velcro covers also. You can even get them to replace the dreaded j-hooks on I/C`s. Need to see if you can spec. a new bus with them. |

Thanks for the info. I'm lucky I don't have to fix many seats so I haven't had to buy any for a long time! |

Same here, just don't buy many. The administration here burn kids pretty hard when they are caught cutting a seat. |

We buy Kevlar seat covers that we get from our Allstate Truck Rep. No more pencil holes it takes a razor blade to cut them. |

I buy from the BB and TBB dealers. We have a mobile upholstery guy that can fix most problems, but if not, my boss wants the seats to look the same. |
