Lost an injector today, no big deal right? Got one coming in the morning, got it ordered nice and easy, got the old one out. NOW Cat says the ECU won't run the new injector until we have it programmed to.

Is this a crock of horse **** or true?

**I confess that back in the day I was one of the guys who really believed that paying the premium to get the Cat over the Cummins was the right thing to do**

Yes it is true you have to load the trim code from the new injector into the ecm so the computer will recognize it. Just like putting new parts in a computer.
