Teacher's crime? Truth telling
As a culture, we pay a lot of lip service to authentic self. What we leave out, of course, is that once you speak your truth, you’d better run like hell. Especially if your truth embarrasses anyone with more juice than you. Like your boss. Or your students’ parents.

I think its very good that that teacher spoke up about the students she teaches, because it isn't right to be lazy, and get good grades. I have to work very hard in math class to get a 95 or above, and there are some kids who just ride out on extra credit, and they don't care about there grades. Good for this teacher, she is very smart, and I honestly, probably would have done the same. You go to school to learn, not joke around. |
