Supposedly we have a few new C2's on the way and I've been told they have the "95th Anniversary Package". Does anyone know what this package consists of? Any extra goodies or just a fancy 95th decal? |

Nice Stuff! That's it. I need details!!!!!, JK. I've seen a small blurry pic of one at the dealership but I don't know if ours will be spec'd the same way. I heard about the heated seat, that sounds hot, does it have air ride too?, from what I've seen it appears to have an extra armrest on the right side. The one I've seen has lots and lots of extra chrome on the grille, side air intake, and chrome trim around the headlights. The mirror brackets are also chrome/stainless steel with heated, equal sized mirrors. Is this all part of the 95th package or did someone just overboard ordering chrome? |

a lot of that stuff (air ride, armrests, mirror design) are still options not impacted by the package. depends on how the bus was ordered. |

Well they have arrived, only two for now, and you know who got one! I have to say it's a nice looking bus, even before I added my extra goodies. They did come in with the air ride, heated seat with dual armests. The seat heat is awesome, although on high it's like sitting on a hotplate. I snapped a few pics to share after a quick wash and wax, it's a head turner that's for sure!

Very nice bus! I really like the chrome accents on it. Now if only it had a white roof ... (kidding, it looks great!) |

Nice looking bus! The C2's have grown on me in the last two years! The only thing that I don't like about this idea is that if you have a fleet of C2's one year your going to have a bunch of oddballs that aren't like the rest of your fleet. Just my opinion... |

Wow, that looks really nice, I love the Specs that they have on there. The Air Ride would be a cool feature to have, I wonder how long they will be offering this package on them. Too bad my district wouldn't order anymore, we got one and they never ordered again..too expensive apparently. |

I see the battery box door was redesigned, looks much better now I think. Just overall a beautiful lookin C2 with those luxary items on it. Just add tints and it's good to go for me lol. I miss having the black wrap around in Ohio too. Makes them look more streamlined. |

Has your district had any problems with the new C2s? I know the one we have had a lot of problems and bugs when we first got it, given that was the first year Thomas came out with them. |

I have one 2008 this year and I had four 2008's last year. All of them were very good for me. Think they finally got the kinks worked out and I finally have to admit... Here goes... I can't believe I'm doing this... I like the C2! I drove them last year and they started to grow on me and then I drove the one I have now last week and I really do like it! They appeared to be much better built than the ones I drove a couple years ago. We (knock on wood) haven't had some of the electrical horror stories that I've heard of either. |

Clean bus. Not a fan though. Blind spots, funky outboard mirrors, not a comfortable view from driver's seat. Prefer IC300....

Haha, every bus I’ve ever been assigned to is the “oddball” of the fleet, mainly because they are the cleanest and have the most extras added to them. The extra reflective tape and all the LED lights I added on myself and I’ve had them on all the buses I’ve driven. Thankfully the C2’s use Delphi connectors which make it very easy to swap the lights around if I have to switch buses.
I’ve been driving C2’s since Jan 2008 and this is my fourth so I can agree that Thomas is doing a great job updating these buses moving forward, each one better than the one before. I could go on and on listing what’s new and improved!
Blind spots seem to be a common complaint with C2’s but honestly every bus I’ve driven from Thomas, Blue Bird and IC have had some sort of blind spot in one place or another.
We now have over fifty C2’s in our fleet (from 2007+) and for the most part they have been good. They were bought in groups, and each group seems to have their own little set of problems, if an issue pops up on one, it usually shows up again on a sister bus. All in all, not a bad bus, but I’d still rather have a classic Thomas bus body on a Int 3800 chassis, ahh those were the days!

I noticed in the original pictures that the last row of windows on the bus are smaller not able to be open. Reminds me of the way they did it pre-77. Is this normal to C2s or just this particular model? Since seeing the pics of this bus for the first time I've kept my eye out for C2s with these windows but I haven't seen one yet. |

I agree its a neat option too. It's been offered on all C2's to my knowledge, I heard for a while they were possibly going to discontinue it, but apparently they didn't. Depends on school district specifications. |

All of the C2s from my hometown, 2006 through 2010, have had the rear stationary glass. Go to http://buses.zwebpages.com/ , click on Bus Photos, go to Thomas, then look at the C2 section. Numbers 06-74 through -76, 07-77 and -78, and 08-9 through -11 are examples. |

I think its a neat and nostalgic option, but whats the point? I wouldn't think it has any advantages or disadvantages, except for looking cool and costing more. |

From what I understand, either Thomas switched to another window manufacturer, or their manufacturer redesigned them. I'm not sure which year that took place, but I feel like it was after 2006. Yours quite possibly could have the old window design which was known for leaking. |

I can just about garrantee that Laura pitre has the old J-Dak window. Thomas switched over to SpectAl the week of Jan 13, 2008 production. A date that brought great joy to the dealer body in the field. |
I may not know the answer but I can usually find who does. |
