We have had nine on the road for a month. They have been great and the drivers are really happy. |

So far... OK. The Exhaust restriction light came on one day but has not come on since. I tried the exhaust burnout session but it woudn't work. Maybe because the light wasn't on at the time. |
If it doesn't fit, FORCE it. If it breaks, well, it needed replacing anyway. Pullin' wrenches for 45 years. |

So far, the problem with the DT466E EGR engines (the turbo actuator) has been fixed with a new actuator and different control methods.
I have seen a shockingly short miles-to-regen trend with ALL 2007 emissions products from every manufacturer. I am not sure wether this is due to the wrong fuel, oil or just driving cycle. It will take some time to sort out.
DO NOT IDLE these 2007 emissions diesels unless you HAVE TO! |

I'm a little confused on the regen warnings. Does the light need to be on before a cycle can be initiated?
Ours came on for an afternoon a week ago and hasn't come on since. I tried the regen but it wouldn't start.
In park, fully warmed up, no throttle signal. Can't find any other info on ISIS. |

yes Eric you can not do a manual regen unless it is needed. it will try to regen on its own if conditions are not met for this to happen tou will need to do a parked regen. as mod stated idling and light duty cycled vehicles are needing regen more then expected. only time will tell whats going to happen. all manufactures are in the same crap storm |
its like a slinky! useless but fun to watch. |

Watch the "regen" lights carefully. I know on IC buses there is a yellow "hot exhaust" light that looks very similar to a 1st stage regen warning. The hot exhaust light is on the right side of the gauge cluster, while the yellow regen is on the left. The hot exhaust light will illuminate when the bus is doing an automatic regen while the bus is in use. It will turn on the hot exhaust light sometimes while its doing this. Just kind of a warning to keep away from the tailpipe, so as not to get burned. |

There are THREE, maybe four lights you need to be aware of for the 2007 emissions systems with the IC products (MaxxForce).
The first is the "soot load" light. It looks like a yellow icecream cone on it's side in a filter. It is below the speedo. You CANNOT regen unless this light is on or flashing. When it first comes on, the ECM sees that the DPF is apx. 1/3 full of soot. At apx. 2/3 full this light will begin flashing. As you come up on 80%-85% full the light will continue to flash, a beeper will sound, and you will see the second light - an upside down triangle (engine warning light). You MUST do something at this point. The BEST option is to drive it HARD on the highway. One strategy is to gear down and use WOT to avoid exceeding the posted speed limit, this is very effective. The next option is a "Parked Regen" - what you tried.
The third light is the "High Exh Temp" light, and it is next to the voltmeter and below the speedo. It is yellow, and *may* come on from time to time. ALL it is telling you is that the exhaust is HOT, and to be careful where you PARK IT.
When you see the soot load light, the best thing to do is to DRIVE IT. Parked regen should ONLY be used as a LAST RESORT when the option to drive the vehicle under high load and highway speed does not exist. |
