Mon, Dec. 04, 2006 - Biloxi Sun Herald, MS - A D'Iberville Middle School student was taken into custody from a school bus this morning after authorities received a tip that the girl had a gun.
The 13-year-old had a 9-mm pistol in her purse, said Sheriff George H. Payne Jr. The gun was recovered without incident, he added.

Becoming too common these days and no real security to prevent it. Without the kids help many of these incidents would go unnoticed. Would think that the idea that kids are not a part of helping the bus driver keep kids safe on the bus and at bus stops is naive on the part of the adults involved, in my opinion.
