Interested in hear form other drivers as to how many of the bus's that you drive now have seat belts? We are hearing more and more about them lately and I was wondering how many companies are now using them. From what I understand new school bus's come with them, but is anyone putting them in the older ones?

We don't have any buses where EVERY seat has seat belts.

All NY school buses are required to have seat belts.

It is up to the individual school board of education to decide if they are to be used for kids older than head start or pre-k age.

Nothing great has ever been accomplished without enthusiasm!

New York, New Jersey, and Florida currently require lap belts for all school buses. California now requires three-point lap/shoulder belts for all school buses.

From what I've been told, New York will be requiring three-point lap/shoulder belts very soon...
