I am interested in revamping our employee time management tracking. Our current process consists of drivers filling out their trip logs with their times that they have worked. The issue is that drivers constantly pad their times. We are able to verify who is telling the truth and who is not via GPS. Although this helps verify and saves money, it is somewhat time consuming. Can anyone recommend a better way? And that will prevent drivers from padding their times?
We use Zonar 2010 at my work. Management can see when we swiped in and when we completed our post-trips. I have never had any issues with getting paid for what I worked. They know how long it normally should take us to complete routes, fueling and DOT. Any exceptions are noted on a spreadsheet kept at dispatch. If there really is an issue, GPS can be pulled, but I only had it done once to verify a location.
