i am gettinh this code on a couple of buses saying something wrong with wait to start mecahnical system does that mean the solenoid cause there is no mechanicalsystem for the wait to store right?
SPN 1081 or Cummins code 3494 is for wait to start malfunction. There is 2 possible issues. First and more common is the driver did not wait to start and engaged starter before system completed a pretest. The light and code stays active for 3 key cycle events before going out. The second is a possible malfunction with the grid heater in the system not activating.
ok kewl thank u i was thinking the driver error i asked and she said she always waits for that to go out but i cleared code and will keep eye on it ifit comes back i think i will check the camera to see if she really is waiting lol
