Any ideas why high idle won't work on this Vision with Cummins? Everything on BB's side has been ruled out.

Everything including the switch that tells it the parking brake is set? 99% of our issues on the Blue Birds is this, of course this is air brake we are talking about and I think you are hydro, right?

This is the neighboring school's bus that I'm working on. Yes, hyd brakes. The park light is on. That should be it on the brake signal, correct?

It is the signal on my transit stuff. Darn, was hoping it was going to be that since it's so simple.

I assume it did work at one time, meaning it is enabled?
We have had a few that the service brake relay sticks on, meaning the brake lights are always on, and usually you get a message on the display something like "brake input missing" when this happens, but this would also cancel the high idle

Have you checked with Insite to make sure the high idle option is enabled?

So, the "brake input missing" means the brake lights are staying on? This bus has that message sometimes.

Yes. The relay in the doghouse electrical panel is most common cause that I have seen.

Opps, also make sure the pin moves freely in the yoke on the foot brake pedal where the brake light switch is, but usually it is the relay

OK, I think we changed the relay. I'll check the yolk. You're talking about the yolk and pin that hooks directly to the pedal, correct?

Yes, connects the pedal to the master cylinder push rod.

The pin will spin in its bore. So, I'm thinking that is loose enough. Any other ideas besides checking with Cummins about whether it is installed on this one or not?

As long as the aux brake motor runs when you depress the pedal with the key off it should be ok.
Does it still not work since changing the relay? If no then yes I would check with Cummins if you don't have insight to see if it is enabled.
