We have a 2005 Vision the a C7 KAL prefix engine with a single cylinder compressor. The compressor is passing coolant. Problem is head gasket and parts for this compressor are obsolete. The compressor itself is obsolete. So we were thinking of replacing with a TuFlo 550 like our other C7s have with WAX prefix engines. The 550 does not fit. It will not go in without hitting the frame. Any suggestions on where to go with this? Hoping maybe someone has run into this issue before.

I'm not completely sure as I'm not the one working on it, posting for another mechanic. But, it seems like it is enough that the head is hitting the frame and not allowing the compressor to rotate enough for mounting holes to line up.

See if a 5010806X Bendix looks similar to what you have.

We did. Not really sure why it was so hard for CAT to find it, but we did eventually get one. Thanks for the help everyone
