no start on a jd 8.1 cng.... no comm to dst???? need help, 96 blue bird. no power at s3 to ecm fuse somewhere? relay?

Might be a tough one...I don't know of anybody still around here that had those engines to know how the things were wired.

https://vantage.blue-bird.com/Portal/Vantage-Home.aspx I've never tried to run such an old body or VIN number through this new system, but it might be worth a try. There's also http://service.blue-bird.com/WiringSchematics/ to try. Might give you a starting point.

i tried the blue bird web site entered vin..... no diagrams available. i can run new wire to the s3 circuit and get engine to run but that isnt "fixing" the problem only bypassing it

Scan it and put it on a photo service like PhotoBucket. Then post the link here. I was hoping that SBF would update this forum so that pics are easier to post. They were talking about it a while back.

found the problem.... a switch in the rear of bus not shown on any diagram . thanks to all who posted help

Oh lord...I forgot about the safety switches on pushers! One that senses the engine bay door or the switch you turn off to keep someone from starting the bus from the front?
