Curious how those of us on here would handle this situation... The article linked below is just one example, where a bus gets in a fairly severe crash, and the first thing bystanders do is open up the emergency door and start hauling kids off despite (at least as it appears in these photos) there being no risk of fire. Having had our bus driver training and first aid courses, I know it is usually not a good idea to move people right after an accident. Additionally, if you do not have assigned seating, our state likes to know exactly where everyone was sitting at the time of an accident.
So, how do you tell these good Samaritans to hold off for a moment as you try to keep these upset kids under control? Hard to do if you are 40 feet away at the other end of the bus.
