Hi, my name is Colt. I am new here. I am having difficulty in locating parts for my buses. I am restoring 2-1966 Ford B-600 Carpenter school buses. They both came from the district I grew up, and I actually happened to have ridden these buses as a kid. One of the Fords, is mine, and the other is promised to me by the current owner. 1 of the Fords, needs an entire set of rare fiberglass seats, a rear bumper (it is rather mangled), and parts to repair the 8-way system (converted in 1975 from 4-ways. The other is the basket case. It was once used as a drug lab which blew up and took out the windows, the ceiling and the wiring. This bus also is missing 22 fiberglass seats. I want to restore them to as original as possible. The one I currently own, is in rather solid but ugly shape and will need mostly cosmetic work. The buses reside in Colorado, and they came from Jefferson County Public Schools, and the same bus terminal. Any assistance would be appreciated, I can be contacted at MrCJeffcoK12@aol.com. I am retired so I can travel to pick up items that I need. I would hope for parts closer to Colorado if possible. I am sure there is more I need than listed, but I need to start somewhere.

Here at this link is a photo collage of the buses. I hope all can see the pic. If you need a copy - just email me. I would like to get started on the buses next spring, but want to start getting the parts lined up and ready to go. I really appreciate any assistance the members can provide. Thanks and sincerely - Colt |

I'm sorry that I can't be of any help, but it makes me so happy to hear that you're giving TLC to some classic buses -- even cooler is the fact that you know where they came from, and you rode them.
Good luck in your adventure! Hope you can find the parts. |

For free photo postings I just started using photobucket.com. I use to use webshots but it's going through a strange transition. Wouldn't you know I get all of my bus model photos (300+) on webshots and then they go and change it! My photos are still there but the titles, descriptions, etc., have all disappeared! What a mess! |

| Colt, I still can't view the pics, but I wish you good luck in your restoration. I hope one day to have a Carpenter bus to restore as well. And SuperiorGMC1963 i'll second your frustration on Webshots. What a disaster for me too after 5 years of uploading and organizing my pics. |

| That link worked! I like how those Ford front ends look. They have that... I don't know, handsomeness, that cars of that era also had. The black and white one is really nice. |
