I had my first Lion Bus sighting today in Mid-Michigan. I didn't get any pics as it was moving down S I-69 and was not numbered (I'm assuming a spec bus) but looked real sharp. I hope to see more of these in the future. This bus in particular looked loaded up (white roof, appeared to have light "covers" on the 8-ways and LED lights.

Sweet! Hopefully they'll become more popular here in the states. Haven't seen one in PA yet.

I would guess that it was heading down to Memphis for the NAPT expo this coming week. I'll bet pics from the floor will show the bus that you spotted.

A lot of buses get to and from Ontario through Michigan's Port Huron crossing. The town where I work tends to be an overnight stop for some reason, so I see lots of ICs and Collin's with all-red 8 ways filling the parking lots of empty businesses until morning. I have not spotted any Lions yet though!

I see a lot too, however they are IC with the eight way all red lens and many say SHARP above the drivers window. They usually have a black hood too and often they are coming through in groups of 4-8.

ANOTHER Lion sighting...oddly enough it was on the same highway, in the same area, around the same time on the same day! This time however I too was southbound. My wife said it had paperwork in the window from Canada. That is a sweet bus. The rear windows are awesome on it and just has a really sharp look, a sort of modernized IC look. The most unique feature was the lion decal on the lower window of the emergency door. I thought that was kind of funny. After I had passed it, I was checking it out from the rear view and oddly, it's shape reminded me a little of a Wayne...hmmm maybe this is what Wayne would look like if it had survived another 15-20 years!

Anyone know if you can get a Lion bus in a 77 passenger or did they still only offer up to 71 passengers only?

I was researching last night and it still says 71/72 is the largest. I believe you can go with 65/66 too if you wanted.

For a second I thought I was gonna be in the pic of that Lion on the Thruway.

I cant tell too well from the pic, it almost looks like the rear roof cap paint is different than the 2012 paint job. Here is what the paint job on the rear cap looks like on one of the 2012s:

Is it different in your pic?

That bus looks awesome from this view!!!! I really like the way the black paint looks on this. I'm gonna go as far to say that this is the best looking rear end on a school bus (since the Wayne)

Rich, it is different. The upper edge of the roof cap is now black instead of yellow. I like it the new way, looks more streamlined.
